Celebrated ‘Reggae Reggae Sauce’ cook, musician and entrepreneur Levi Roots came to Brindishe Green to launch our state of the art brand new children’s kitchen.

The Children’s Kitchen has been built using the school¹s own fundraising and a successful National Lottery grant of £10,000. In the classroom-sized kitchen Brindishe Green children will learn about food and cooking, healthy living and lifestyles. In addition they have the chance to grow, cook and eat produce from their own school gardens.

In our kitchen, children have been making delicious soups, smoothies, healthy biscuits and winter salads. The specially designed kitchen was hand built on site by Chris Fry and Andrew Preston the school's two very skilled and resourceful premises staff.

Levi Roots shared his passion for Caribbean food, the story of his famous Reggae Reggae sauce and his appearance on Dragon’s Den and his hugely successful business ventures with our children in an assembly and as he toured the school.

During his visit here Brindishe Green children interviewed Levi and broadcast the interview live from our own radio station BGFM.
